Pompano Beach--The kind of art Norma Lloyd creates isn't taught in any school.

Kitty Margolis sat in Lloyd's breezy oceanfront condominium on Friday as her longtime friend created a "soul portrait" on a soft sheet of watercolor paper. "We've been trying to get together to do this forever," said margolis, a Delray beach marketing consultant.

After a brief relaxation session, Lloyd  brushed clear, oceanic blue around the edges of the paper, and paused. She rummaged through her collection of paints and then added a splatter of green. A swoosh of purple. A little puddle of magenta.
Lloyd is the sort of woman who has never even considered coloring between the lines. As a Baby Boomer who picked up art  as self therapy, after her divorce, Lloyd said even she was surprised by it's evolution into a part time business. People pay her $150.00  to do soul  portraits
