"It takes a lot of Imagination to Create What You See"

In 1992 I began using art as an expressive therapy. Being a health care administrator for over 25 years I was used to directing and managing people and money. Everything I did was between the lines! One day I caught myself lining us the corn chips for dipping at Carlos and Pepes. With art the challenge for me was to move outside the line.

The first picture that I did was an oil painting and I did it at my sister's house  in her kitchen to sounds of some great music. She also was using art to express herself and suggested that I try it. Just let the brush go she said! Not being a person who could draw or that had any kind of artistic training in image reproduction I knew I was doomed if it meant I had to draw something I could see on this planet.

When I finished my first oil painting much to my surprise there seem to be an image present. At least one that I could see
within the picture. It looked as if I had painted a place where the angels go to rest, several energy cocoons in a cavern. And if you looked closely you could see two of the angels about to come out.  With my art I find it takes a lot of Imagination to create what you see. But didn't Einstein say that Imagination is greater than Knowledge!

Newly divorced I found myself with some extra time and set up a play room (the breakfast room). In it I placed everything I could that I felt would ad to the art of being creative. I had oils, acrylics, watercolor, glitter, faux gems, feathers, and many other potentials. Each image I produced was like a great surprise! I could always see something within them. As I began to share my pictures with others they wanted me to make them copies and the next thing you know I am in the "art business".

The next year I was fortunate to come in contact with a great watercolor artist from Germany who helped me refine my abilities and taught me to allow the flow of intuitive "Spirit" into my work. I learned to do creative photography, using my media of reflective paints and iridescent sparkles to create light within the painting. I also learned how to incorporate the potentials of the computer to enhance contrast and add the special effects of creative digital processing.

Currently I have three areas of
creative art that I work with; 1) a collectors series of Inspirational Art grouped in twelve sets of twelve, 2) personalized "Soul Portraits" and 3) a creative process called Visioning in which  building a "Dream or Dream Team" is used for personal or business development goals.
