The inspiration for the development of this series began with the Spring Equinox of 1998 and in synchrony with Mary Lomando's tour to Egypt.

Following a night in the Great Pyramid and in the morning at the foot of the Sphinx Mary took a photograph of the tablet or Stellae as it is known that sits in front of the paws. This image she says features twin lions representing the Past and the Future. This photograph is the basis for the series on Egypt and the Opening of the Hall of Records.   

When I received the photo I immediately went to the computer and lifted the dull sandy color. Then like magic and a choice of a filter or two the "hall of records" was opened. I continued to follow my inspiration and several more images emerged. The feeling that I got was that something was being opened, reversed, transmuted then a fresh start could occur.
